Phone +49 621 1806239-0, email info@code-hive.de.
We have not appointed a data protection officer because the legal requirements for doing so do not
apply to us. For any question about data protection, please use the contact details above.
2. Visiting the website and server log files
When you open this website, your browser sends technically necessary data to our hosting provider. This data is stored in log files: the address requested, date and time, the amount of data transferred, a message confirming successful retrieval, browser type and version, operating system, the page you visited before and your IP address.
The legal basis is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in operating the website securely and reliably. Log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest, unless they are needed to investigate a security incident.
This website is hosted by Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG, Königsberger Straße 4 to 6, 32339 Espelkamp, Germany. We have a data processing agreement with this provider pursuant to Article 28 GDPR. The servers are located in Germany.
3. Contact form and getting in touch
If you write to us using the form on this website, we process the data you provide: your name, your email address, optionally your phone number and the content of your message. We use this data solely to answer your enquiry.
The legal basis is Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract, otherwise Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. Your message reaches us by email and is stored in our mailbox. We delete it once your enquiry has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention periods apply. For business enquiries, the retention periods under German commercial and tax law of six and ten years respectively apply.
To protect against automated submissions, the form contains a field that is invisible to people and a timing check. No further personal data is collected in the process. We use a technically necessary session cookie to limit how often the form can be sent.
4. Booking appointments via Calendly
On the home page we offer the option of booking an appointment via Calendly. The calendar is only loaded after you have expressly agreed. No connection to Calendly is established before your consent.
The provider is Calendly LLC, 271 17th St NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30363, USA. When the calendar loads, your IP address and technical data about your browser are transmitted to Calendly, which involves a transfer of data to the USA. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR and, for reading information on your device, section 25 (1) TDDDG. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. For details see calendly.com/pages/privacy.
5. Maps via Google Maps
We embed a Google Maps map to help you find us. It is also only loaded after your express consent. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
When the map loads, your IP address and technical data are transmitted to Google, and this may involve a transfer to the USA. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR and section 25 (1) TDDDG. You can withdraw it at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. For details see policies.google.com/privacy. You will also find our address without the map in the legal notice and in the footer.
6. Fonts, icons and video
All fonts and icons used on this website are stored on our own server. No fonts are loaded from Google Fonts or any other external provider, so no connection to third parties is made. The video on the home page is also served from our own server, not via YouTube or any other service.
7. Storage on your device
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies and we do not measure reach. The only items we store in your browser's local storage are:
- your decision about external content (key "consent-v1"), stored for twelve months
- your choice between the light and dark view (key "theme")
Both are technically necessary in order to respect your choice, and neither is transmitted to us or to third parties. You can delete these entries at any time in your browser settings.
8. Links to social networks
In the footer we link to our LinkedIn profile. These are plain links, not embedded content. Data is only transmitted to LinkedIn once you click the link. The respective provider is responsible for the processing that takes place on the destination page.
9. Recipients of your data
We do not pass your data on to third parties, except to our hosting provider as part of the data processing agreement and to service providers that you have expressly released through your consent. Data is disclosed to public authorities only where we are legally obliged to do so.
10. Your rights
You have the right at any time to obtain information about the data we hold about you (Article 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Article 16), erased (Article 17), to have processing restricted (Article 18), to data portability (Article 20) and to object to processing based on a legitimate interest (Article 21). You can withdraw consent you have given at any time with effect for the future, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out up to that point.
To exercise your rights, an informal message to info@code-hive.de is sufficient.
11. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany, baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de.
12. Obligation to provide data
Providing personal data is neither required by law nor by contract. However, without your name, email address and message we cannot answer an enquiry sent through the form.
13. Changes to this policy
We update this privacy policy when the legal situation or our processing changes. You will always find the current version on this page.
